Andy Teas is Vice President of Public Affairs for the Houston Apartment Association, a nonprofit trade association representing the owners and managers of over 400,000 apartment units in the Houston area. A native of Houston, Andy graduated from the University of Texas, and earned an M.P.A. from the L.B.J. School of Public Affairs. Before joining HAA, he worked as a legislative aide and committee clerk in the Texas Senate and House, and for the Congressional Liaison office of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington. He has served as an adjunct instructor at Houston Community College since 1994, teaching political science. He and his wife, Elaine, live in Katy, Texas with their three boys, Robby, Paul and Sam.
