On May 16, 2007, the Campaign for Affordable Housing hosted this forum, supported by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development and sponsored by Washington Mutual, which focused on overcoming unnecessary rules, regulations and red tape that often drive up the cost of producing housing and impact everyone’s quality of life. Over 70 attendees heard from experts on best practices and strategies for winning community and political support to reduce barriers to workforce housing.
