HORACE ALLISON
Senior Vice President
Houston Housing Authority
Horace C. Allison, AIA, an accomplished architect and affordable housing developer, currently serves as the Senior Vice President of the Houston Housing Authority.
In his position, Allison manages all real estate and development activity for the agency, which in recent years has centered on obtaining competitive state tax credits to modernize and develop mixed-income communities. He also oversees the Housing Choice Voucher Program, the agency’s largest housing assistance program.
Prior to holding the title of Senior Vice President, Allison served as the Deputy Executive Director of Real Estate Investment and Development and was responsible for coordinating the highly-successful HUD “HOPE VI” program at Allen Parkway Village.
With over sixteen years of experience at the Housing Authority, Allison also previously served as the Director of Maintenance and Facilities Design and Construction.
He has held architectural positions at Lamar University, Alamo Community College District, the City of Houston, Dresser Industries-AOSG and Bechtel Power Corporation. He is a Registered Professional Architect.
Mr. Allison has a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Southern University.
